Jade has been treasured in China as the royal gemstone with its even and intense green colour. For many years, Jade has been a symbol of love, virtue and status. Jade is usually cut into smooth dome shapes called cabochons.

They are also used to create beautiful pieces of jewellery. Different from other gemstones, jade are sold in pieces and not in carats. Next to colour, consumers should also pay attention to its translucency and texture (uniformity).
