The name 'tourmaline' stems from
the Sinhalese word ‘turmali’ that means mixed. Tourmaline occurs
in every colour of the rainbow and also in combination of 2 or 3
colours. As tourmaline has many faces and expresses every mood,
it encourages artistic intuition.
Tourmalines are often cut in
rectangular shapes and are set in jewellery. In order to protect

avoid steam cleaning or heating the gemstone.
